The Acquisitions Institute at Timberline Lodge has been providing an opportunity for acquisitions and collections librarians to meet and discuss pertinent trends and issues since 2000. The Institute draws an audience of primarily academic librarians, vendors, and publishers; meetings are professional but informal. The objective is to share ideas, thoughts, and insights as to the direction of libraries and publishing, and to allow ample time for networking.
