Carbon GeoCapture is focused on sequestering carbon dioxide in geologic formations as economically and quickly as possible to help meet midcentury climate goals. Carbon GeoCapture’s mission is to support near-zero carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from carbon-intensive industries and power plants via the utilization of carbon capture and storage (CCS). CCS is the process of capturing carbon dioxide, which is formed during power generation and industrial processes, and storing it so that it is not emitted into the atmosphere. By preventing CO₂ from being emitted into the atmosphere and inserting it back where it came from—geological formations—we can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help meet the world’s midcentury climate goals.
