www.ipft.gov.inInstitute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT), an autonomous institution under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India has been working towards the development of safer, efficient and environment-friendly pesticide formulations. An initiative under the “Make in India” program, the IPFT handles the domestic production of urea and NPK fertilizers. One of the significant activity performed at this institute is the Data Generation on Bio-efficacy, Phytotoxicity and Pesticide Residues on Industry sponsored projects for registration with CIB/RC. The laboratory is accredited by NABL as per ISO/IEC – 17025(2005). IPFT has been working on R&D projects both in-house(sponsored by DC & PC) as well as grants-in-aid(sponsored by OPCW, DST, DRDO, UNIDO). The institute also undertakes Industry sponsored R&D projects for formulation development. The Bioscience Division of IPFT is engaged in the development of microbial and biotech products for their usage in agriculture and public health/household pest control. It also offers various training programs for a large number of international and national trainees.
