The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) Houston Chapter [501 (c) (3) organization] is one of eight chapters in the Southwest Region of the organization. Mission Our mission is to provide energy professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and students a pathway to learn more about the energy industry through activities such as mentoring, education, community service and networking. Description The Houston Chapter welcomes professionals from all energy and energy-related disciplines (oil, gas, electricity, nuclear, renewable, government, technology, energy services, and water) to join our chapter. We believe that each of these disciplines provide our membership and community with a broader knowledge of the varied and unique aspects of the energy industry. Additionally, we encourage college students at accredited institutions who are studying in energy related fields; or planning to pursue careers in the energy industry to participate in AABE.
