The Harpenden Trust

www.theharpendentrust.org.uk

The Harpenden Trust boasts a team of over 500 local volunteers. Our Care Fund provides support for individuals and families in need in Harpenden. We can provide funding to help meet the cost of bills, food and school uniforms and trips. We can help source furniture and white goods. The Care Fund also arranges regular outings and bi-weekly coffee mornings for local Seniors and runs a successful befriending scheme for people living alone. Our Community Fund provides financial support for community projects with grants for specific projects designed to develop, improve or enhance their work or facilities for members. We have been able to help a range of schools, nurseries, youth and sports clubs, and charities with a variety of materials, equipment, extensions, and renovations. In March 2020 the Harpenden Trust established the Harpenden Cares Contact Centre, in response to the global pandemic. Since January 2021 the Harpenden Trust has been supporting our local GP surgeries administering the COVID-19 vaccination programme across Harpenden. Working together with Harpenden Health PCN, our volunteers provide both internal and external marshaling at the Vaccination Centre, together with general administrative support. Harpenden Trust has two halls for hire at our Trust Centre in Southdown. These can be hired for regular use or on a one-off basis for clubs, group activities and parties.
