Rauserv c.c. has a division focusing on hazardous waste. This consists of Medical / Hazardous Waste Management as well as Effluent Decontamination Systems. Our Medical Waste System is environmentally friendly with no toxic emissions as with Medical Waste incinerators. With the regulations in South Africa slowly leading away from incinerators and the toxic fumes involved, integrated sterilizing shredders are the future. The process involves first shredding the waste and then sterilizing it with the use of a steam sterilizer/autoclave. The Effluent Decontamination prevents infected water being drained into our sewage system, this unit is ideal for BSL3 Laboratory Waste from wash basins etc. This unit also makes use of steam sterilizers allowing infected water to be sterilized.
