The Hanze University Foundation is an independent foundation affiliated with the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, which appeals to the social involvement of employees, students, alumni and companies in the region. The Foundation focuses on supporting vocational education to young people in developing countries. The Hanze University Foundation is the driving force behind a multitude of development projects organized by the Hanze University. The objectives of the Foundation are: - to promote sustainable professional education in developing countries; - to channel the social engagement within and outside of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences by stimulating the execution of (higher education-related) development aid projects; - and maintain a system of financial aid for students from developing countries.
