Arc Suppression Technologies
www.arcsuppressiontechnologies.comArc Suppression Technologies owns a suite of fundamentally disruptive Intellectual Property (IP), products, and prototypes which offer game-changing competitive advantages for the ever-growing power grids world-wide. Our world economy depends upon electricity, and arcing is a natural but destructive element occurring wherever electricity is used. Uncontrolled arc damage creates significant expense; and in cases is destructive and deadly. Because of this, arc suppression has been sought since the commercialization of electricity more than 150 years ago. Solutions to date, however, are best characterized as “arc mitigation.” Arc mitigation can occur in milliseconds ("ms"), and only minimizes arc damage. While there are arc mitigation methods in use today; arc mitigation is NOT arc suppression. Arc suppression occurs in microseconds ("μs" which is a 1000x improvement over arc mitigation) and eliminates arc damage. Therefore, our products and patents define a new industry. This new arc suppression industry is comprised of two broad segments: I. Electronic Power Contact Arc Suppression ("EPCAS") -- World’s first electronic power contact arc suppressor; eliminates the most notorious electric contact electrode failures -- With EPCAS, electromechanical contactors and relays can be designed to use cheaper metals and less material while significantly improving performance and longevity -- Provides continuous contact cleaning and restoration II. Electronic Arc-Fault Suppression (EAFS) -- World’s first electronic arc-fault suppressor; eliminates the most destructive and deadly electrical accidents (Arc-Flash) -- Converts an uncontrolled, undesired, and unexpected event into a mere tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse -- Eliminates the loss of life, limb, and property, and related litigation, insurance, and other unwanted and debilitating costs
