SPL History In 1990, Michael Valitutti commenced his business as Surfers Paradise Locksmiths. He operated from a purpose fitted van and solely provided a 24hr mobile locksmith service for eight years, before taking on a partner and several employees. Michael, along with his partners in 2001 had the foresight to expand the business, which to date includes an electronic division, a security division, and an architectural hardware division. In 2004 they moved the business to their owner-built, custom designed building at 101 Ashmore Road, known as SPL House. The state-of-the-art showroom, board room and staff amenities included in the building are a testament to Michael’s commitment to provide customers with the highest quality of products and service. As Managing Director of SPL, Michael is responsible for the overall commercial operations of the business, which currently employees a very experienced team of nearly 60 qualified staff members.
