Bridges Connecting Communities, (formerly Knox Community Volunteers), is a not-for-profit charity that provides volunteer services to the local community to support independence, promote socialisation and a transport solution for transport disadvantaged seniors and people living with a disability who reside in their own home. Founded in 1975 by a visionary group of volunteers who recognised the needs of the elderly residents in the City of Knox. Since this time, Bridges has succeeded in providing support to elderly residents and residents with a disability in the form of transport, social groups, community access and community support.
