Solihull BID

www.solihullbid.co.uk

Solihull BID was formed in March 2010 after a successful ‘yes’ vote, resulting in a £2.5 million investment which is funding a series of projects to make Solihull a better place to work and visit. The 466 businesses in the central Solihull BID area were invited to vote on which projects and services they would like delivered and these are being funded by the BID levy, which is set at 1% of each business’ rateable value. Our projects fall into three key areas: Marketing, Promotion and Events, Accessibility & Car Parking and Safe & Secure. Recent BID projects have improved town centre communications, safety and security through the introduction of Town Hosts, promoted the amazing choice of food and drink venues in the borough, showcased Solihull’s fashion brands to 30,000 music fans, encouraged town centre employees to shop local and boosted visitor marketing campaigns to reach well over a million homes via radio, billboards, advertising, direct mail and media coverage. We are proud of what we’re achieving for the local economy in partnership with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, West Midlands Police and the 466 BID businesses.
