Tab, Mick and I couldn’t be more proud of the team that’s helped us get Stagekings to where it is today, or should I say where it was just days ago. Unfortunately COVID-19 has decimated the entertainment industry and our business along with it. We usually work with an amazing team of scaffolders, carpenters, designers, support staff and labourers who, together, specialise in structures for Music and Arts Festivals, Corporate Events, Brand Activations and Sporting Events like The Commonwealth Games, Ninja Warrior, Ultra Music Festival and many more Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 the events industry has experienced an immediate, and complete shutdown. In the space of 48 hours our entire income for the remainder of 2020 was cancelled, with no end in sight. The mixture of emotions we’ve felt, as I’m sure you have too, over the past days and weeks is impossible for me to put into words. We’ve had no choice over the past week but to make massive cuts to our business, to ensure our survival during this downturn. However letting all of our hard working, loyal staff go is almost too much to bear, so we all got to thinking of what we can still do during this time. A suggestion came from an Irish friend at Flying Elephant Productions; we have a CNC Router, and the people to use it, we also now have entire companies, no, industries having to work from home in Isolation. So we have decided to produce work-from-home desks - let's call them Isolation desks. Not only will this keep a number of our good crew off the street, but we’ll also be donating $10 from every sale to Support Act - who are supporting music workers impacted by the Corona Virus Pandemic. We hope to be back building amazing stages for concerts and festivals before long, but in the meantime we hope we can help with a place you can work in Isolation, an IsoKing desk.
