DSRTP is a professional search and rescue team and registered charity, made up entirely of volunteers from the Plymouth and Dartmoor areas. Our sole purpose is to assist the emergency services with search and rescue operations, locally, regionally and if necessary, nationally 24/7/365. Core specialist skills within the team include search management and techniques, emergency medicine, swift water rescue, search dogs and handlers and high-level rope access and rescue. DSRTP is associated with both Mountain Rescue England & Wales (MREW) and The Peninsula Mountain and Cave Rescue Association (Penmacra). As one of 4 such search teams in the Dartmoor area, we are also associated with the Dartmoor Rescue Group (DRG).
