The ClementJames Centre
www.clementjames.orgThe ClementJames Centre is an award-winning charity based in North Kensington. We provide opportunities to enable 2,500 local people each year to achieve their potential. It targets children, young people and adults most at risk of failing to meet their potential to go onto higher education or employment, due to economic, social, cultural or linguistic disadvantage. At the heart of the charity is a belief that underachievement is best addressed in the context of a long-term pastoral engagement with the students, where the charity can build their esteem and support their learning to enable them to reach their potential to go to university, gain employment or realise another chosen aspiration. The charity provides four main programmes: Adult Learning - A programme providing Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT. IntoUniversity - Children & Young People's Education (7-18 yrs) providing academic support, mentoring, intensive literacy and numeracy support and aspirational activities. Employment Support - An adult employment programme breaking barriers to work and training. Wellbeing & Support - A streamlined network of support including: Information, Advice & Guidance Sessions, Wellbeing Support, Clinics and Groups.
