Welcome to the Frankfurt am Main Section of the Deutscher Alpenverein e.V. (DAV / German Alpine Club). We are a sports and nature conservation association. With about 12,000 members in and around Frankfurt we are part of the community of about 1.3 million members of the DAV. Actively experiencing nature together is the credo of our activities. We love the mountains and nature! Therefore, it is important for us to practice mountain sports and nature conservation in harmony. As a founding member of the German Alpine Club, we combine tradition and modernity. We operate four of our own huts in the Alps (in Kaunertal and Pitztal in Tyrol/Austria) as well as the modern climbing center Frankfurt/Main in Frankfurt-Preungesheim. Being active together is fun: in our 19 groups, children, teenagers and adults find a variety of activities and connection possibilities. From hiking to sport climbing, almost everything is available. And if you don't know how to do it: trained professional instructors will be happy to guide you in all areas.
