Artists of the First Sunrise features the lives, art, and history of Indigenous Australians keeping Aboriginal cultural traditions alive despite human rights abuses and destruction of traditional ways. Once funded, the full-length documentary will give voice to Indigenous artists who continue to celebrate Dreaming traditions and cultural ceremony through artistry and performance.The 13-minute short, however, is evocative of what the completed documentary will be…highlighting the art, music, dance and performance that the First Nations People create and share to heal through art, teach future generations about traditions and teach others about their plight.
