As our motto 'Achieving more together' explains, Synergy believe in working together to produce greater outcomes for the community. We offer a wide range of services and activities from Family learning projects, Early intervention support for pupils and support for staff, to the organising and delivery of holiday clubs and before/after school provision. Not only that, but we can also organise and run any project personal to your school or setting. Synergy Director, Tim Atkins, has developed extensive experience of working in both the voluntary & statutory sector taking on a variety of roles supporting families, schools & the wider community. More recently, Tim was working as the Coordinator for the 'Gateway Extended Services Cluster' through Birmingham City Council. During the 6 years in post, Tim organised and evaluated a large number of services and activities that produced many positive outcomes for children, young people and their families in the Sheldon and Yardley area of Birmingham. He led the cluster in achieving national recognition through the 'Quality in Extended Schools' accreditation. Tim has also worked for 'Sheldon Community Church' for over 15 years as their Schools Worker and can be found taking fun and interactive assemblies and lessons based on Christian and social themes, in over a dozen schools across Birmingham. He now currently works a day a week for 'Connect Church UK' as their Children's Coordinator. Please note that Tim and the team of Support Workers have an up to date DBS Declaration which will always be produced on initial meetings with schools.
