Team Entrepreneurship Bristol (UWE)
te.uwe.ac.ukBecome an entrepreneur - Learn how to lead and run a sustainable SME! Students ‘learn by doing’ - running real-life ventures, working in teams, learning both ‘what to do and how to do it’. Team Coaches enable students to learn lifetime transferrable skills, so that they graduate able to run their own enterprise, or work effectively as employees due to their teamwork and project experience. Students gain a “BA (Hons) Business degree in Team Entrepreneurship” from Bristol Business School at UWE. The course is based on a globally successful ‘Team Academy’ model: - By being enterprising, students start businesses during their first year. - By being practice-led, students learn by doing. - By being team-based, students learn how to navigate relationships in order to go further together. - By being self-managed, students design their own learning pathway and discover their passions and strengths. - By focusing on sustainable development, students create social and/or environmental value. Ventures address one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Over 3 years, students practise technical and social skills to lead, influence and develop both themselves and colleagues. Learning is supported by Team Coaches and Mentors who provide links to the “real world” of business. In the most recent available data from 2017/18, 89.5% of our graduates were in professional level employment, self-employment or further study, compared to a market average of 79.5% for other universities.
