The Coast Guard Cruise Ship National Center of Expertise (CSNCOE) is tasked with serving as the Coast Guard's resident experts on all things pertaining to the cruise industry. Founded in 2008 the unit has established itself as a key industry partner, helping shape the future of cruise operations globally. Driven to ensure the highest safest standards for cruise operators, the CSNCOE staff have been and continue to be at the forefront of technological advances and policy development. They routinely engage with Flag States, Classification Societies, Cruise Line Operators, the International Maritime Organization and US Congressional members to promote and ensure a culture of safety that is accepted globally.
