#Linkedinlocal Basingstoke was formed in November 2017 after seeing a chance post by Anna MCAfee on Linkedin about helping people who are already connected on Linkedin to meet socially offline. Each meeting holds new and swapped ideas, introductions are made and friendships formed. There is a magic that takes place through communication, we have seen it happen when we met face to face and now via zoom meetings. Our meetings are friendly and welcoming and include: Guest Speaker or speakers Linkedin Business Warm-Up Breakout rooms Informal chatter Those who want to have the chance to share their details and any event information Time: 1 hour. It’s a fully packed #businessnetworking meeting with many arriving early to have an informal start of meeting catch up. Although #LinkedinlocalBasingstoke is UK based we find that our meetings have international visitors - everyone is welcome. LinkedInLocal is an idea that started in Australia and has caught people's imaginations. The idea is very simply to put the social back into social media, to meet the person behind the LinkedIn profile. It’s a great way to meet with existing contacts and to make new connections in an informal business context.
