Membo Noticeboard is Australian owned and operated, and is part of a larger suite of tools for private and business use under the Almani Enterprises Pty Ltd banner. It resulted from the Co-Founders’ personal experience supporting an elderly parent to continue to live independently with Alzheimer’s dementia, and the consequent anxiety, stress and overwhelm this created for everyone. Ultimately, its application has broadened considerably, and now provides vital daily support for people and families living with a range of conditions and disabilities including Acquired Brain Injury, Parkinson's Disease, Dementia, Young Onset Dementia, ADHD and complex physical and mental disabilities. The system is easy to set up and use, and enables multiple people, including family members, carers and support teams, to update and exchange information in real time from anywhere. Membo replaces calendars, whiteboards and diaries with an App that displays daily appointment and other key information on Tablets and Mobile phones. It supports independence and dignity by enabling the end user to access information when required, and as often as needed, without having to refer to others. It alleviates Carer overwhelm, by reducing stress and anxiety, in particular by enabling the update and display of information remotely irrespective of geography and level of daily involvement. It enables support workers to provide better service and to work more closely and effectively with family and carers, even when there is conflict, and is applicable in both in-home and residential environments.
