The UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment (CGFI) is a national centre established to accelerate the adoption and use of climate and environmental data and analytics by financial institutions internationally. It will unlock opportunities for the UK to lead in greening finance and financing green. A consortium of five leading UK universities, led by the University of Oxford, was selected to establish the CGFI in December 2020 with this announced in early 2021. CGFI began its work at the start of April 2021 ahead of COP26.
