The Florida Association of Security Companies (FASCO) is a member of the International Association of Security and Investigative Regulators, representing and giving a voice to the interests of its FASCO members about current regulatory trends. FASCO has been at the forefront of passing a number of Legislative bills for our industry. The 9mm Bill, Light Bill and enhanced penalty on assault on a S/O are all examples of our success. In addition we have worked with PIRSAC and the DOL to change the training curriculum for the D and G course to be more in line with post 911 requirements. Furthermore, we have been to Washington DC twice, meeting with Compact Council, DHS, DOJ, FBI on Legislation to allow Security agencies to have access to FBI Criminal Record checks as per the 911 commission recommendations. All FASCO Directors are non-paid volunteers who are B Agency Owners or Employees. We donate our time to speaking with Legislators in Tallahassee, maintaining the FASCO website and traveling to Legislative hearings and Committee meetings across the State and Country in an effort to have our voices heard on important topics affecting our industry . We ask for your support by joining our Association and participating in the fight to professionalize Florida's Private Security Industry and improve the reputation of our Licensed Security Officers. If you are not a FASCO Member and wish to become one, please visit the FASCO website at www.fascofl.com
