Ohio HealthCare Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution serving healthcare professionals in the state of Ohio. Ohio HealthCare was chartered in 1973, to serve the financial needs of Riverside Methodist Hospital employees in Columbus. For years, the credit union operated out of a small office in the basement of the hospital. Eventually, RMH evolved into OhioHealth and also incorporated Grant Medical Center. We later opened another office inside GMC and a third office on Olentangy River Rd. As the credit union continued to expand, our administrative office was moved to Dublin, where it currently resides. In addition, we moved our RMH office to the main floor of their North Medical Building. In 2005, we expanded our field of membership to include ALL healthcare industry professionals in Central Ohio. In order to better serve our healthcare members, we were later approved to serve the healthcare industry throughout the state of Ohio. In 2014, we announced an innovative partnership with MedPro Federal Credit Union in Akron. We joined forces to create the Healthcare Credit Union System...a stronger entity to better serve healthcare employees in various parts of the state. Ohio HealthCare Federal Credit Union now operates under the trade name "Healthcare Credit Union System". HCUS is composed of two divisions - the Ohio HealthCare division (in Central Ohio) and the MedPro division (in Akron). Today the credit union boasts over $80 million in assets and 13,000 members. We strive to be the financial institution of choice for all Ohio healthcare employees and their families.
