Age UK Carlisle and Eden was formed in April 2009 and is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. Age UK Carlisle and Eden is a stand-alone charity and partner of Age UK. Age UK Carlisle and Eden employs approximately 29 staff and is assisted by over 200 volunteers. The organisation is managed on a day to day basis by its Chief Executive who reports to a Board of Trustees which sets the policy and direction of the organisation in consultation with the local community. At the core of the Organisation is the provision of Information and Advice, although we acknowledge the needs of the local community and therefore provide additional services including, Day Centres, Lunch Clubs, Home Support as well as Charity Shops, which through the selling of donated items helps support the continuation of the Organisation.
