BLOKSHOK was formed in 1993 by members of Goodbye Mr Mackenzie. It was named after a nightclub in the then West sector of Berlin that the macKenzies used to frequent when they recorded their 1991 Hammer & Tongs Lp. GMM released 4 LPs and 4 singles on BLOKSHOK Records. BLOKSHOK also pre-produced the 1994 ANGELFISH LP released in the USA and featuring Shirley Manson’s first outing as a lead vocalist. Recent releases have included collaboration in 2005 with Scotland's River Records for a double LP of unreleased Mackenzie’s live material 'The River Sessions'. 2006 brought an LP by new band, Isa & The Filthy Tongues which has received rave reviews. The Tongues LP Adddiction was released by BLOKSHOK Productions and Circular Records. Then in 2010 the LP 'Dark Passenger' featuring a contribution from punk legend Richard Jobson (the Skids) BLOKSHOK have produced and engineered many of their own releases and will continue to produce artists for the foreseeable future. Most recently we have post produced and mixed a Live CD for the Skids recorded in 2010. An Isa & the Filthy Tongues live CD is also imminent. BLOKSHOK have also been involved in video direction and production. Creating Isa & the Filthy Tongues promo video and coordinating with NEXUS live productions and MEDIA BEDS Multimedia.
