About Last Link Ltd Last Link Limited was set up in March 2006, by Martin Chisholm, in order to provide customised and specialist Operational consultancy, training and interim work to the SME Manufacturing base in the North of England. Since it was formed Last Link Limited, and in particular Martin, has carried out bespoke work across a very broad range of industries from Micro organisations to FTSE 100 Corporations, such as: Family owned and run SME Manufacturers Specialist engineering companies Major High Street Retailers FTSE 100 Service Companies Rapidly growing Facilities Management organisations FMCG Manufacturers and suppliers into the major supermarkets Assisting VC's and Private Equity houses with their portfolio companies In order to keep costs and, therefore prices, as keen as possible Last Link use a simple associate model, only having 2 direct employees but a a large number of people in the network. Specialist are called in and work is shared around depending on the specific needs of each client. Last Link tailor each solution to meet the specific needs of all of our customers' each and every time, we approach all clients with a completely open mind. Why the name Last Link? Well the reason is that one of Martin's specialities is in what is often called "The Last 50m of the Retail Supply Chain". In particular Martin has been involved in setting up Consolidation Centres (the first one being back in 2002 at Meadowhall Shopping Centre); in essence these are specialist warehouses that look at optimising the last link in the supply chain.
