ELi Technology Inc.
www.eli-technology.comWHERE is your emergency? Over 80% of emergency calls are from a mobile device, and 60% from an indoor location, with one factor remaining most critical to solve …knowing the exact, dispatchable location of the emergency mobile caller. Dispatchable address is defined as the street name, plus indoor (incl. vertical) visibility details such as floor, room, or apartment number…and currently NO localization practices today provide it. Today’s hybridized location methods use combinations of Wi-Fi, GPS, and cell towers, and supplemental handset data for estimated horizontal search areas and no useable location visibility for indoor calls. This location inaccuracy impedes the efficiency and effectiveness of our emergency service and leads to thousands of lives being lost each year. As Emergency Services transition to a “Next Generation” service, “location data” needs to support it. Ignoring this part of the technology means the same problems haunting our system today, will continue tomorrow. Upgrades in emergency mobile caller location need to be seamless and efficient, use existing infrastructures that will evolve as the technology does. The data needs to be useable, immediate, and actionable, with privacy and security of location data being fundamental. We are ELi Technology and EML is our “Tag-based” location methodology which uses the current wi-fi ecosystem and integrates with existing PSAP environments. EML is “bolt-on” technology and doesn’t require additional training or hardware, it symbiotically aligns with the IP network so when a call is placed, the location element arrives at the PSAP the same time the call is answered, providing accurate indoor and vertical location. EML has been thoroughly real-world tested to ensure operation across different networks, existing telecommunication infrastructures and handset manufacturers, with outstanding accuracy results. ELi Technology wants to help 9-1-1 save more lives with better mobile localization.
