Space Dimensionally Optimized Technology Satellites - Space DOTS® - is a UK-based woman owned New Space start-up, creating an order of magnitude shift in cost and complexity for materials' innovation in all Space Environments. Space DOTS® are developing a novel pico-payload with proprietary active testing systems and an end-to-end logistics portal to make on-orbit qualification of advanced materials faster, cheaper and simpler. The Barnacle DOT (first product) is a modular and scalable hosted payload, combining for the first time mechanical, thermal and electrical testing capabilities for environments ranging from Microgravity to Earth, Cis-lunar and Interplanetary orbits. The modular nature of our Barnacle DOT space architecture makes the technology transferable for use in harsh and hard-to-reach environments on Earth. Aiding Nuclear, Wind, Hydrogen, Carbon capture and storage, and Transport industries to solve the longstanding structural materials degradation challenges hindering the Net Zero 2050 target. Our main focus: 2D Materials, 3D-printing Materials, Metamaterials, Nanocomposites, Biomaterials, High-tech Fabrics, Structural & Thermal control materials Currently incubated at the ESA BIC Harwell (UK).
