www.pmems.org

Founded in 1959, the organization has been proudly serving the residents of Middletown Township, Penndel, Hulmeville, Langhorne, and Langhorne Manor Boroughs. We currently maintain a fleet of 5 Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) Ambulances that can also be used by our Basic Life Support (EMT) crews, we also provide an emergency response Bariatric Support Unit (BSU) which is designed to handle those patients that require a larger ambulance cot. In addition we, have 2 Ford Expedition Chief's Cars, 1 Ford Expedition Station car and our Special Service Unit which was designed to function as an Incident Rehabilitation Unit at major incidents. This unit is deployed to provide not only an area for rest and rehydration of the personnel working at an incident but to also do medical monitoring of them, with the intent to allow them a reasonably comfortable and controlled area while being rehydrated and treated . In addition, this unit can function as a forward command post, aid station. It is also the primary tow vehicle for a PEMA 50 bed shelter unit that can be deployed anywhere within the Commonwealth of PA to support disaster operations.
