Gator Venture Capital is a young, ambitious student organization made for risk-taking Gators who are ready to take the next step towards a career characterized by innovation, change, passion, and impact. Our model offers curious and inginuitive students opportunities that are almost too good to be true. Here's what we mean: Most experience-based student organizations do their best to prepare undergraduates for their desired careers through mini versions of whatever that career might be. This allows students to build up their resume so that they can hopefully work for a real firm in the future. We say forget that--let's go straight to the firms. We are partnered with multiple premeir venture capital firms who we provide pro bono services to. Our priority this spring of 2023 will be deal sourcing, and if enough Gators are interested and qualified, we may offer due diligence services and portfolio company support to our partner firms as well. So why prioritize deal sourcing? Deal sourcing is what led the founders, Nathan and Jack, to fall in love with venture capital and entrepreneurship. It is the opportunity to test your analytical mindset and economic intuition while networking with brilliant founders and venture capitalists. Deal sourcing is the most effective way to become immersed into the global VC ecosystem as an undergraduate student. So are we gauranteeing a job in VC out of college? No. What we are guaranteeing is that anyone who participates in our program will experience a significant shift in how they view the world, and will be equipped with the mindset they need to change it.
