The Practice was established in London by Michael Porter in 1984 as M Porter & Associates and has since grown steadily, gaining extensive experience in the cost management of projects in the new build, refurbishment and fit-out fields. In 1989 an office was opened in Ripon to provide a base to service the north of England, and in 2000 the Practice became MPA (Construction Consultants) Ltd, trading and known simply as MPA. The Practice has gained a reputation for providing effective and proactive construction consultancy advice. The services offered range from traditional quantity surveying through to specialist services such as project management and CDM Services, and we have also been retained by a number of funding institutions, insolvency practitioners and insurers to provide monitoring and bespoke consultancy services on a wide variety of projects. The Practice primarily works with leading designers and architects and for high profile and distinguished clients. We aim to provide a personal service with emphasis on teamwork to achieve a finished project to meet clients' requirements and aspirations consistent with good design and quality, on time and within an agreed budget. MPA is an organisation dedicated to providing reliable expertise at the highest level tailored to respond to the individual needs of our clients.
