The Bayhawks are the MLL's winningest franchise through the first nine seasons of the league. The franchise has won five MLL Championships - 2002, 2005, 2010, 2012, and 2013. In March of 2010, the Bayhawks announced a new ownership group: Hometown Lacrosse, LLC led by Bayhawks president Brendan Kelly. The Bayhawks also announced that the team name would be changed from the Washington Bayhawks to the Chesapeake Bayhawks going forward to include all areas of the region from Baltimore to Virginia, Washington DC and the Eastern Shore. The Bayhawks play at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, MD.
