College students creating video games for healthcare, followed by a review by potential employers — all live-streamed! Hosted by the world-renown Texas Medical Center’s TMC Innovation Institute, the Healthcare Games Showdown™ is an Accelerator meets Hack-a-thon Game Jam in which medical and healthcare games or gamification concepts will be created by college students under the direction of medical and video game mentors. The goal of this event is to generate jobs for students in digital media in addition to transforming how digital media can positively effect healthcare needs. The 1st live-stream show is scheduled for July 1st - July 26, 2019.
