The Entrepreneurs for Future Asia Foundation (EFFA) is a non-profit organization that focuses on improving the future perspective of underprivileged children throughout Southeast Asia. The goal of EFFA is to improve the education of these children by setting up sustainable educational projects and to contribute to the happiness of these children by organizing Sports & Games activities. Teams of entrepreneurs, which consist mainly of Dutch students, raise money in the Netherlands and subsequently stay in Asia for several months to realize the personal and local projects on location. The most important aspect of these projects is durability which is realized by involving local students and teachers. EFFA's first projects is completed successfully at the Seeds of Hope Children's Home in Indonesia where currently 80 children receive English lessons on a daily basis. Entrepreneurs of EFFA, Daniel and Remco realized a class room and equipped it with computers, desks, a whiteboard and other study materials. Furthermore, a supervisor and teachers were recruited who still teach the children today. Two teams of entrepreneurs are currently raising money and will move to Chiang Mai, Thailand in the nearby future to set up the next two projects.
