Innovating Army Acquisition Excellence * Army Acquisition Workforce Support * Acquisition Career Development * Human Capital Strategic Plan The U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center (USAASC) supports the Army Acquisition workforce by providing training, education and career development opportunities to the world-class professionals who provide enduring capabilities to Soldiers. Working with the Army Director for Acquisition Career Management, we provide the approximately 37,000 members of the Army Acquisition Workforce (AAW) with superior personnel development systems. We foster a culture of constant organizational improvement, enabling acquisition excellence and encouraging innovation. USAASC core functions include: • Institutional management of the AAW and the Army Acquisition Corps, including career management and workforce development. • Customer service and support to Army program executive offices in human resources, resource management (manpower and budget), program structure and acquisition information management. • Subject matter expertise and analytical support regarding acquisition issues and initiatives to the assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology and various DOD organizations. • Developing and disseminating USAASC’s vision and mission within the acquisition community and the U.S. Army.
