HF4C financially assists children receive much-needed health care. Quality health care supports physical, emotional, and cognitive development, and helps children reach their full potential. More than 4 million children are uninsured in the US, with 56,000 in South Carolina. Many of these children do not qualify for Medicaid, CHIP, or to participate in the Health Insurance Marketplace in South Carolina. This problem is not going away as the American Academy of Pediatrics states there are signs that insurance coverage losses for children will continue to rise.
