At My First Trainers, I work with leaders to speak as well as they think; whether that's working on team projects, speaking confidently with the board and senior management, or presenting new ideas from the stage. Through a series of workshops, I encourage leaders to discover their own communication style, one that is natural and unique to them; and impact their audience. My workshops include: TALKING WHEN IT MATTERS The days of all fluff and no sizzle are definitely over. With shortening attention spans, our colleagues expect us to make our point quickly and effectively and will move on if we begin to waffle. For the introvert, or the less confident, breaking into discussions during meetings can be a challenge, especially if talking to seniority and sharing unformulated ideas or issues. In this workshop, delegates will learn how to speak up when it matters, speak as well as they think, and successfully to navigate potential conflict that may hold them back from speaking up. BEGINNING TO LEAD There are three pivot moments in everyone's career, where upgrading our communication skills is essential to progress. The first is communicating within a team, and the second is leading a team. In this workshop, delegates learn how to adjust their message depending on their audience, manage social and situational gaps, and how to turn conflict into a healthy debate. LEADING TO INSPIRE The third pivotal moment is when a leader needs to inspire and move people from the stage, whether presenting to stakeholders internally or launching new products. This workshop focuses heavily on delivering your content while staying truthful to your authentic self. In a safe environment, similar to the one you might be presenting in, you'll learn the distinctions needed to deliver your presentation with impact.
