Norwegian Ship Design is an independent company established early 2019. We deliver first class Ship Design, Consultancy- and Advisory services to satisfied and returning customers. Key persons in our company have a lifetime of experience in developing bespoke ship designs for various clients, in total resulting in more than 150 vessels built at numerous different yards and countries. Our clear ambition is to be the leading and preferred ship design and engineering partner for energy efficient and low or zero emission ships for the future. We have inhouse, first-class competency in all relevant disciplines needed for new building or retrofit projects, as well as a network of experienced partners. Our staff's experience in initial design and project development of battery electric and hybrid vessels is unique, with our staff having been responsible for nearly 30 battery electric or hybrid new buildings in the recent years. In addition, we have been responsible for numerous “Next generation upgrades” implementing zero or low emission solutions in existing vessels. Several in depth studies of Hydrogen powered vessel concepts have led us to yet another specialized experience and competency. We have a network of experienced partners used for scalable capacity and 3rd party verification. The Norwegian Ship Design Company is one of only a few fully independent ship design companies without any bond of interest to equipment suppliers, shipyards or any other parties.
