Our Mission Enriched quality of process and end-product in development of social infrastructure for public utility, with ownership, user-sensitive design across atleast half the country. This will be achieved through interdisciplinary work in the domain of design, research, building capacities, advocacy and policy support with large stake holders like the Government, prominent NGOs or other agencies to reach larger geographical area and people, by about 2025. Introduction VINYÃS is a team of highly dedicated and motivated young professionals of architectural, designing and planning disciplines since 1996. It is actively involved in architectural research projects as well as building design and planning works. It also works towards capacity development of architects, engineers, artisans, administrators across the country on aspects related to design and its interdisciplinary nature. Its pioneering work on Building as Learning Aid (BaLA) for schools has reached across India in 19 States and Union Territories, including Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal and Delhi in about more than 2,00,000 government schools. Another work on developing child and women friendly Aanganwadi has been implemented in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat and in partnership with Vinyãs Society in West Bengal and Bihar. Across these States it is poised to be taken to more than 1,90,000 existing and new to be developed Aanganwadis. It also provides policy support to the government at National and State level.
