James Purcell Insurance Broker Ltd. was formed in 1973 by James Purcell. In 1991, his son Brian began working with London Life Insurance Company in Ottawa. In 1996 Brian also obtained his Registered Insurance Brokers license and began working in the family brokerage. Brian's wife, Colleen is also a registered broker working in the business. Our brokerage, including 4 licensed brokers, offers all lines of insurance, including home, auto, commercial and farm insurance. Brian also offers group employee benefits and high rate GIC's. James Purcell Insurance Broker Ltd. is a small office that offers close contact with our customers and always acts with integrity and professionalism. We are very active in our local community with active involvement in the volunteer fire department, local Optimist Club, Historic Mill Foundation, Churches, Parent/Teacher Councils, School Board activities, coaching minor hockey, baseball and football. Brian has been very active in the local and Provincial Brokers Association. He also served on the brokers regulatory board, RIBO Council and was President in 2011. In 2008, our office was very pleased to accept the first Award of Excellence from the IBAO for brokerages under 10 employees.
