The Insurance Institute of Gauteng (the IIG) is a public benefit organisation (PBO), established to serve the interests of the insurance community in Gauteng. The IIG’s primary focus is on the personal professional development of the industry and its members by creating opportunities for them to learn, network, share knowledge and explore collaboration that benefits the employees of insurance companies and brokers operating in the province. The IIG is proud of its role in supporting the community. It provides student bursaries and supports various charities. It also works closely with the Insurance Institute of South Africa.
