But maybe there's science behind exit motivations that entrepreneurs should explore before pulling the ejector handle. Introducing Exit Motivations I may have read Music for my undergraduate degree, but I’m not convinced great entrepreneurs always start at the very beginning… As part of my research into the entrepreneurial and exit cycle as part of my Doctorate studies at Cranfield School of Management, it is becoming apparent that entrepreneurs often start at the end – with the “What, When, Where and How” of their eventual exit from their new start up or scale up venture. Of course, this depends on your definition of the term “entrepreneur”, but that’s another argument. Exit Motivations is all about the journey, exploring the real world application of academic theory behind an entrepreneur’s exit motivations, using my own experience as well as comprehensive research and very many fine debates and conversations with entrepreneurs engaged in that process. I am keen to invite contact and discussion with anyone considering a future exit from their business.
