Dr. Mohit Bhasin has been practicing adult cardiology in Norfolk, Virginia since 2006. He specializes in all facets of general cardiology, diseases of the aorta, and advanced cardiovascular imaging, including the diagnosis and care of adult congenital heart disease patients. Dr. Bhasin directs a level III one year apprenticeship for cardiologists in cardiovascular MRI and CT and has trained over 1500 radiologists and cardiologists over 14 years in courses in Virginia, endorsed by the Society of Cardiovascular CT. He attended medical school at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta as a Robert Woodruff Scholar in Medicine, then completed Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and served as Chief Cardiovascular Fellow while pursuing two years of specialized training in the field of Cardiovascular MRI and CT imaging. A former George Starbuck Fellow at Boston University in Creative Writing and winner of the William Carlos Williams Prize from the Center for Human Values in Medicine, he has become a recognized leader in heart photography. His clinical cardiovascular practice specializes in diseases of the aorta, adult congenital heart disease, and multimodality tertiary referral cases such as cardiac masses, as well as general cardiology problems. Dr. Bhasin is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He has been voted one of the Top Cardiologists in Virginia by his peers every year for the last decade. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular CT.
