The iKNOW Project
www.iknow.org.ukHave you ever stopped to think about what you’ve learnt and the steps you’ve taken to get there? From completing college to joining your dream company, starting your own business to reaching retirement, all those mini skills and lessons learned are an integral part of who you are. Yet, many people under appreciate the effort they have put in to the achieving goals or the obstacles they've overcome. iKnow aims to change the way people view their experience by becoming the first platform that allows them to advertise their entire life journey, no matter the subject or area of expertise. Our goal is to create a unified global community that celebrates the success of our diversity and everything we know, not just one that is niched towards one field. We hope by doing this, it will encourage greater flexible working, provide full or part time income, enable greater movement of people into areas they are passionate about and improve the health and wellbeing of people by removing perceived fears or barriers to success. The world is changing so fast, new industries are born, skills shortages are apparent, traditional businesses closing down or adapting, incomes reducing. We all need support. With the prediction that 50% of the worlds workforce will become freelancers by 2020 there is a need for a platform that flexs to your needs, not the other way round. And with the continuing improvement of AI, it will be people, not technology that will help those affected. Our goal is for iKnow to speed up the ability for people to progress. In time we plan to become an intelligent platform that understands all the steps our community has made in each of their respective fields. This will allow any man, woman or child to search iKnow and get a personalised career plan. By detailing everything that is required (courses, companies, mentors and roles), we can direct them to you, the amazing people that can help them make that change and hopefully make the world a better place.
