A Not-For-Profit community project started by 10 THOUSAND FEET. 10 THOUSAND TREES works with business, governments and individuals to give them the ability to create not a neutral but a positive environmental legacy. 10 Thousand Trees engage foresters that are FSC certified to sustainably manage trees to offset the paper use. We put trees in the ground today, manage them to maturity, harvest them to be supplied to the paper industry and then reinvest the proceeds from that sale back into more trees. This makes the tree and paper cycle sustainable: By reinvesting the profits we effectively double the amount of trees in the ground every twelve years. So 10 trees we plant tomorrow will become, 20 trees in twelve years time, 40 trees in 24 years and so on until 10,000 trees are in the ground in our grandchildren’s time (120 years).
