About Anna’s HISTORY San Francisco’s Mission District and authentic Mexican food go together like rice and beans. It was in those kitchens that Anna’s Taqueria was first conceived with the mission of bringing the home-style flavor of Mexican street food to the people of Boston. Brookline’s Beacon Street became Anna’s first home in 1995, and the people couldn’t get enough. Since then, we’ve expanded into Boston, Cambridge, Newton, and Somerville. COMMUNITY Our passion for food is only rivaled by our passion to giving back to the communities where we live, work, and love. Anna’s was born in Boston and born for Boston. Partnering with inspiring community organizations and grateful customers is our bread and butter (or, in our case, tortillas and salsa). Anna’s has supported hundreds of organizations with in-kind food donations, gift cards, and charity burrito rolls. We’re honored to support grassroots fundraising efforts and regularly help local organizations and volunteers champion the causes they’re passionate about. Keep your eyes peeled on our Community page for upcoming chances to help us positively impact local organizations and causes. A COMMITMENT GREEN Sustainable earth-friendly operations have been the Anna’s standard since day one. Anna’s focus on green starts with fresh food and ingredients purchased locally whenever possible. We’ve taken it one step further, outfitting most of our fleet of Anna’s vehicles to run on vegetable oil. And we recycle thousands of pounds of paper, plastic, and glass each week. That means almost everything produced by Anna’s goes back to the earth, into production, or into our vehicles to deliver the best burritos in Boston.
