Healthy n Happy is the Community Development Trust for Cambuslang & Rutherglen. Our aim is to make these communities the healthiest and happiest places to live and work in Scotland. We work to achieve these aims through five work streams: Transforming Lives: We think everyone should have the opportunity to have a healthy, fulfilling life, no matter where they live. Wellbeing is about more than good health. It’s about having the ability to do the things you enjoy, having good relationships and feeling in control of your life. Transforming Lives enables individuals and families to work on issues that they identify for themselves and use their strengths and passions to improve their health, their lives and their aspirations. Transforming Communities: We work closely with local residents so they are actively involved, taking a lead and using their influence in improving community life. Transforming Communities generate opportunities to bring people, communities and agencies together in order to create great places to live, work and play. CamGlen Radio: CamGlen Radio is the volunteer led community radio station for Cambuslang & Rutherglen, giving a voice to local people and communities. It provides opportunities to gain valuable skills and experience relating to the world of broadcasting. From presenting to producing and everything in between, no experience is needed to get involved. Tune in now online or on 107.9FM! Bike Town: CamGlen Bike Town initiative works with a range of organisations and local people to promote cycling as a universal means of transport. We do this by seeking to improve the cycling infrastructure within Cambuslang & Rutherglen whilst provide a range of training and support for people to increase their confidence on a bike. Social Enterprise: The social enterprise arm of the organisation was created to make Healthy n Happy more sustainable and less reliant on funding through enterprising initiatives.
