Southeastern Container, Inc. was formed by a group of independent Coca-Cola bottlers in the early 80's to produce their own PET packaging needs, and has grown to be one of the world's largest and most respected PET processors. Today, SEC ships PET preforms and bottles to over fifty Coca-Cola bottling and co-packing operations in the United States and Canada, stretching from Quebec to Florida and as far west as Montana, covering thirty-four states and six Canadian provinces. Our product mix covers a wide range of packaging sizes from the small single serve 253ml bottle to the family size 2L bottle. The product mix includes a variety of products from carbonated soft drinks and waters to juices and teas, all for the Coca-Cola bottling network. With our corporate offices located just outside of Asheville, NC in the town of Enka, SEC has grown from a single manufacturing location in 1982 to five facilities with just under two million square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space. With the headquarter facility in NC, and other locations in OH, TN, VA, and a second location in NC, SEC operates as a "C" corporation and is organized as a manufacturing co-operative under sub-chapter "T" of the IRS tax code.
