The Business of Sports certificate is a two-month, intensive program offered by the Leeds School of Business. This is a nine-credit “boot camp” for students and recent graduates who are seriously interested in pursuing careers in the sports and recreation industry. Students learn the business skills applicable to the sports industry including: sport law, sport analytics, sport finance, eSports, facilities & event management, sport sponsorship, sales & marketing, and diversity & inclusion. Students will learn about what it is like to work in various divisions of the sports business world as industry practitioners walk students through day-to-day operations of these departments and explain what it takes to get into these positions. Students will also conduct extensive research on a project developed by one of our contributing partners.
